I also have had elevated CRP functions. What I figured out was is I take Omega 3 fish oil with High doses of EPA and DHA it works wonders. If yo do some research you'll see it helps with everything. I have yet to find a store that sells the high doses omega 3. I buy mine online and it's expensive $72 for a bottle, but that bottle will last 3 months. let me know if you ever want to check it out, and I will send you a link.

Hi! I saw a comment you made on Jimmy Moore's blog, and was interested in what you said about c-reactive protein going up. I got googling about c-reactive protein and weight loss and I got this study here--

http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/92/8/2944

It's a calorie-restriction diet intervention study in women with or without PCOS. The women with PCOS who lost weight on this diet had their CRP tend to go up, in those without PCOS, it tended to go down. So it could just be a metabolic syndrome thing. Maybe visceral fat takes one last kick at the can on the way out, or something.
CRP is the C-Reactive Protein. Apparently this is supposed to fall as you lose weight but mine is increasing.

How many times a day are you eating? It should be 5-6. Also, have you checked to make sure you are in ketosis?

I'm not sure what CRP is (C-reactive Protein?), but I do think when losing a bunch of weight that it takes time for the body to stabilize. My triglycerides went high after losing 50 pounds in a six-month period and have now come back down to better levels.

I don't actually follow the Atkins plan, but try to keep the carbs low. What works for me is doing the half-plate concept. Veggies and/or fruit (preferably veggies) must fill half my plate. Protein and fat complete the picture. As I wasn't a veggie fan I could only do this by using a smaller plate, like a salad plate. I have no idea how it fits into Atkins, but I am sort of aware of carb counts. Anyway, hope that's not an irritating piece of info for you (everyone does things differently and what works for one person doesn't work for another).

I've lost about 70 pounds since last year about this time, though it has slowed down since earlier this year. I have had good luck working out too.
