Weight Loss Results for Monday
It looks like my fat cells are in panic mode and are holding onto water like nobody's business. All week my weight has stayed the same. Yet I know I am smaller. My clothes are baggier. I feel thinner.
To put the weight loss in perspective though. I started back on trying to lose weight on January 1, 2012. My weight was 205 pounds. Today my weight is 183 pounds. So I have lost 22 pounds in 10 weeks. That is 2.2 pounds per week.
Coming next week...
Will the scale change? Will I lose more inches? Will I just say forget this and start pigging out? Will I remember that I have lost 2.2 pounds a week in 10 weeks? All you can do is just wait and see. Wish me luck. I may need a visit from the whoosh fairy soon to keep me motivated and on track.

Only 4 More Pounds Until...
Current weight as of this morning is 183 pounds! Only four more pounds and I will be in the 170's. Pretty awesome. I can't wait. Who knows maybe at the end of the week it will happen.

Do Those Last 1-2 Pounds Really Matter?
I have read on numerous weight loss blogs about people struggling to lose that last 1-2 pounds to get to their ideal or goal weight. They obsess over this number and do not even give themselves credit for the 30, 50, or even 100 pounds they have already lost.
After all the weight loss does not count if you can't get to that set number in your head. I have spent over half of my life dieting and trying to lose weight.
Every time I think I have it down and will succeed this time. Something happens and I gain some weight back or go off my diet.
Personally I am tired of beating myself up because one day out of 30 I decided to eat a sleeve of cookies or eat enough calories for 4 days instead of 1 day.
I am slowly learning that perfectionism is not only impossible but setting unrealistic standards also leads to weeks of overeating rather than just one meal or one day of overeating.
My self worth will not be based on a number on the scale. After all once the weight is lost I will still be the same person I was on the inside, just a thinner, smaller version. All those insecurities, negative thoughts, etc will still be there no matter what the number on the scale reads.
Let's work on our insides at the same time we are working on making our outward appearance more normal.
Life should not start at your goal weight. It goes by too fast and sometimes takes too long to reach. I am living proof of 30 years and I am still not at my ideal number on the scale.
So if you are obsessed that you are still 1-2 pounds away from your goal, why not just call goal for now and focus on maintaining your weight for a few months. Live your life and then decide if those last couple of pounds are really that important.

So today marks my third week on JUDD! Weight loss is going great and my clothes are baggier. I will post a weight update next Monday.
Down days are still a little tricky as sometimes the hunger can get a little intense, but I know that lack of sleep or stress can make hunger elevated and I have been dealing with both lately.
This weekend I made coconut flour pancakes. If you love pancakes but don't want all the carbs associated with the regular kind I recommend that you try these. They were so yummy. A lot of work for breakfast but so good with some breakfast sausage. I used 1 tsp of honey for flavor and butter.

If you make them let me know how you like them. This recipe makes 16 pancakes and a total of 4 servings with 249 calories per serving and 9.8 grams of carbs. So 996 calories and 39.2 carbs for the entire recipe.

So today is Day 4 on JUDD and I am slowly starting to like this plan. I have to admit the thought of eating only 500 calories scared me to death; but so far I have 2 DD (down days) under my belt and am starting to feel a bit more confident.
I will post more on Monday....
