Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone. Don't forget tomorrow is the 2nd weigh in in the Summer Weight Loss Bootcamp. I will post my results this weekend.
The holidays are always a difficult time for those of us who struggle with our weight, but don't let it be an excuse to fall off your plan and pig out.
This time last year I was only 1 month into my weight loss and now it has already been a year. Time flies. It's up to you whether you will be thinner next year, the same weight or fatter.
Memorial Day is a low carbers dream holiday. There are burgers to grill, deviled eggs, make your own coleslaw, grilled veggies and the beloved grilled ribeye steak.
If you must have desert make it a low carb treat. Have some fresh strawberries with heavy whipping cream (a little stevia can add a bit of sweetness).

Sorry about the late post. My internet connection has been down all day and I only got back online now. It is difficult when little things happen such as no internet to not want to eat all kinds of carbage! Plus the scale has not budged in an entire week. Which is discouraging and annoying. But I held firm and did not do it. Not even on Saturday when my internet connection was down all day also!
Easter was easy I made a chuck roast on the stove top that was divine! Better then in the crockpot. It was a 5 pounder and I cooked it about 4 hours. It was so tender and flavorful. For my veggie I sauteed asparagus in olive oil and butter.
Learning to get through stressful periods without turning to food is something I take as things happen. While I may not be perfect everytime I am definately going to cheer and celebrate the times I succeed.
