January 30, 2012
Sorry I did not post a weekly update on the 23rd like promised but I have been dealing with health issues of my own and back issues with DH.
So today marks two full weeks doing JUDD. I am pleased to report that I am down to 190 pounds. The scale I have is not digital so I have to really look at the numbers to see what I weigh and I think I was more than the 195 I posted when I started JUDD. But I will take the 5 pounds and in two more weeks we shall see if the magic of JUDD will continue.
So here is some basics about how I am eating....
November 1, 2011 Day 30
Today starts a new 30 day challenge.
Put down that fun size candy bar. Throw out the candy corn and get started losing weight. Take 30 days for yourself to start a new way of eating.
If you slip up just get back on with the next meal. Perfection is the nail in the coffin for a dieter. Learning to eat great at least 80-90% of the time and giving myself permission to be human is a tool that I am starting to try and learn.
My goal is to lose 20 pounds. Not in a month but at least by the end of the year.
What is your goal?
October 14, 2011 Day 16
I can now fit into a size large in pajama pants at JC Penney! So nice to be out of the 1X, 2X, and 3X sizes. There was a time I could not even fit into size 3X (it was really, really snug).
Ironically the scale is the same but I have lost another 1/2 inch in my waist.
I am still pretty tempted everyday to eat comfort sweets as I am just used to doing that from October through January. But I am holding strong and not giving in.
We did make cauliflower pizza last week end and pumpkin cream cheese clouds and I think I consumed over 3000 calories in cheese alone so although it was low carb food it was still way too much and is more than likely the reason the scale stayed the same this week.
Have a great weekend everyone!
October 10, 2011 Day 20
Did a little shopping at the mall over the weekend with hubby and ventured into the Godiva chocolate store. Yes sometimes I like to torture and tempt myself by looking at things I won't or can't eat. And those chocolates are no exception.
The store smelled nothing like chocolate. In fact there were no delicious candy smells at all. Perhaps they should invest in a machine that pumps a chocolate smell in the store.
The candy looked delicious and the clerk sauntered over to my husband and me with a big smile on her face and said we have free samples of dark chocolate.
It was almost like she was a drug pusher peddling a bite size piece of deliciousness. A free sample of dark chocolate. What could be the harm in just taking one?
She looked at us expectantly waiting for our formerly chubby fingers to grab a sample. Once we tasted it she knew we would be hooked.
We both thought about it for a few seconds and actually considered each taking just one of the shiny blue wrapped chocolates. After all what could it possibly hurt just this one time? But then our senses quickly returned and we smiled, said "No Thank You" and left the clerk with a surprised look on her face.
How could two fat people say NO to her fancy wrapped Free chocolate samples.
Of course what she did not know is that these two people while still fat were working their butts off for the past 7 months to lose weight and had lost weight. No way were we going to stop the progress we had made. Besides why have Godiva when we can have our Lindt 90% Chocolate!
October 7, 2011 - Day 24
I have a closet full of clothes ranging in sizes from when I was at my thinest over 15 years ago to my heaviest at 307 pounds. But what I have noticed is that right now my weight is the same but I can fit into pants from size 24W to 16.
Size 24W - these pants are very, very baggy but not falling off me.
Size 24W Skirt - slides lower on my hips and the only thing keeping it from falling off me is my fat pack (you know that weird bump you get right above your rear that looks like a gigantic pin cushion).
Size 22W - same as the 24W.
Size 18 - I can zip and button and there is even a little room at the waist but they are a bit too tight to wear in public.
Size 16 - two weeks ago could pull up but not zip or button. Today I can zip and button but they are really snug like the 18's and not suitable for wearing in public yet.
So the scale is holding fast at 190 pounds yet I have obviously lost inches based on the size 16 pants that I am now able to button and zip.
I am looking forward to the size 16 jeans being slightly baggy but I think that will take at least another 20 pounds or so. We shall see. Thinking about getting rid of some older thin clothes that I had when I was 18 over the weekend.
