October 25, 2011 - Day 6
I can't believe it is almost Halloween. Last year I bought candy under the guise that I would hand it out to the kids but really I just hoped we wouldn't get many trick or treaters so I could eat the leftovers!
This year I will not be buying or giving out candy. Yes I know I am a Halloween grinch. Too bad. The fall through Christmas is one of the hardest times of the year for me with regards to eating and I will not do anything to tempt myself. I guess I could buy candy I don't like but I don't wanna! So there.
Besides with business being so slow for this time of the year I really don't need any sweets around otherwise I may be tempted to do some emotional eating.
OK temper tantrum over!
If you decide to eat some junk this Halloween just remember to get back on track the next meal or the next day. Don't let it turn into a full on pig out fest from now until New Years.
BTW this is the thinest I have been in 15 years. Unfortunately looking in a full length mirror is not pretty. My fat hangs and jiggles. But I will keep on going because I have seen some improvement and know every 10 pounds will bring about even more dramatic changes.
May 9, 2011 - There are 24 Chocolate Bunnies in My House
Today is Day 20 of my weight loss challenge and in the room next to me are 24 chocolate bunnies. I confess that these chocolate cuties held my attention off and on this weekend and I even took a whiff or two of that sweet chocolate smell; but I did not give into temptation.
Tomorrow, no matter what these bunnies will be on their way to family, where I am sure they will be enjoyed!
How did everyone else do over the weekend?

If I have to watch one more commercial about chocolate bunnies and Easter baskets I am going to scream. I don’t recall last Easter being quite so commercial regarding the promoting of candy, candy and still more candy.
Sure there was the usual assortment of sugar coated carbage in the stores, but at least a person wasn’t inundated with commercials every five minutes about how much more Easter candy you could buy at a certain big box store.
I used to use the holidays as an excuse to eat. This year I have decided to make the holiday more about Jesus Christ and less about those Cadbury crème eggs.
