| « Starting a New Plan Today January 16th | Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! » |
January 6, 2012
I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and New Years. Today I am going to celebrate tiny milestones cause that is all I have right now.
Did I cheat over Christmas? Yes. But the good news is I did not make it a complete junk food blow out from Thanksgiving until New Years like I normally do. Instead I had a week on plan and a week off. You know how that goes.
I guess I really just can't have one Christmas cookie! Next year if they get made (and I am strongly considering not doing it) they will be shipped off to family the same day or packaged and boxed to ship the next day.
It is frightening how much weight a person can gain when they start pigging out on junk food. Last year when I went on a carb binge from Halloween until almost the end of January I must have gained 60-70 pounds. This year I only gained 20. Which is depressing but on the bright side I won't have as much to lose again.
So here is my plan...
Follow up:
I will get back down to my original weight on the scale. Give it another week once I make it there and if I don't start losing at least 2 pounds a week I will start JUDD. this is calorie cycling every other day. Truthfully I do not have the patience to take another year to lose 60 pounds.
I want the weight off ASAP so I can start the maintenance game. I have a feeling maintaining is going to be a million times harder then trying to lose the weight especially if I indulge the way I did with those Christmas cookies.
It's annoying because from Halloween through Christmas we are bombarded with messages to eat and eat. Then when you get to the New Year we are bombarded with messages to stop eating and get fit and in shape.
Not to mention the chocolate orgy that is Valentines Day and don't forget the Easter candy!
Oh well. These two candy filled holidays are a lot easier to manage then Christmas.
Here's to losing weight in 2012!
