July 29, 2011 Day 0
Well this will be the last time I post for the month of July and I have to say the past week or so has been very annoying. My weight just wont budge to where I want it to go.
Will this weekend get me to onderland or will it just be another disappointment when I get on the scale?
While I understand that you can lose inches even if the scale shows no loss I don't care. I want to see 199 and I want to see it by Sunday July 31st! OK temper tantrum over.
Have a nice weekend everyone and if you could send some woosh fairy dust my way. I sure could use some.
July 27, 2011 Day 2
Well it's still hot as blazes here but I am happy to report that I am down 1/2 pound this morning.
Will I see onderland by the end of the week and the end of the month? Or will that diabolical scale make me wait until August to finally realize my dream of being under 200 pounds.
Stay tuned for further updates as the week progresses. Monday starts the beginning of a new 30 day challenge and marks month six of my weight loss challenges. Hard to believe I have been doing this for 150 days.

Normally I don't post twice in one day but I can't help it today. If you are pregnant please do not follow the doctors orders of a low fat diet.
Seriously babies need fat. It helps their brains develop! They also need cholesterol which you can get from the devil of all foods saturated fat (gasp..the horror of even suggesting it).
If your doctor tells you to eat lots of fruit, veggies, lean meats and low-fat cheeses ask them how is the baby's brain supposed to develop on apples, bananas and romaine lettuce. When you get a stock answer tell them they are a moron and find another doctor!
I am starting to wonder if autism can also be linked to this supposedly healthy diet they want women to go on. Not to mention all the chemicals in the processed food and diet sodas women consume during pregnancy.
I just wish people would stop demonizing fat. Tune in later this week for my rant on Paula Dean.
July 25, 2011 Day 4
Since my weight is once again stalled and I am still not under 200 pounds I was thinking a lot about protein and calories requirements over the weekend.
I spent some time researching how much protein I should be eating and have come to the conclusion that most protein calculators are wrong and can be causing those who are trying to lose weight to stall.
I can eat a fair amount of protein but my weight stays the same. Thus a reduction in protein is needed to start the weight loss again.
I read a post that someone said you should not feed your fat. Which makes sense. Your protein requirements should be based on your lean body mass not your total body mass. Lean body mass should be found by what your ideal or normal body weight would be not your current body weight.
All those body building forums that try to tell you to eat .5 to 1 gram of body weight are just nonsense. I could never lose weight eating that much protein.
BTW today is Day 4 of my 5 Month weight loss challenge. On July 30th I will be starting on Month 6 of my weight loss challenge. I cannot believe that it has been almost 5 months since I started. The time really does go by fast and it is up to you if you want to spend your time binging on carbs and fast food or if you want to do something for yourself and get the weight off.
Losing weight is hard especially when you hit stalls but the rewards of getting the weight that is so uncomfortable is well worth it.
July 21, 2011 Day 8
Yesterday I was so hungry all day. Ravenously. I haven't felt this hungry in a long time. I will go on the scale tomorrow to see if I have one of those infamous whooshes. If I do I may even be under 200 pounds.
Can anyone tell me why car rentals are so expensive? Talk about price gouging. Oh well. Anyone know of any good road trip foods? I dislike traveling when I am trying to lose weight. I would rather get to my goal weight first and then travel.
