June 17, 2011 Day 12
Why is it that some that low carb keep losing and regaining the same three pounds over and over? Despite sticking to low carb and not having any significant change in their eating?
This strange phenomenon can happen to any of us, but what I want to know is if low carb is so effective at weight loss than why are some struggling so much?
If seems that the simple formula of cutting carbs does not always work. For example, Jimmy Moore has been trying unsuccessfully to lose a 30-50 pound regain and to date has been unable to achieve this goal?
Is there something wrong with the low carb diet or the low carb dieters?
Follow up:
I know that this two week stall for me has been horrible. Last summer I had a three month stall with no weight loss the entire time. I just wonder sometimes if Atkins is more hype than help.
I am beginning to wonder if low carb eating is more hype than help. I should be losing at minimum 1 - 2 pounds a week. And based on Atkins book I should be losing a heck of a lot more than that.
I understand that the body can have set points and all of that nonsense but what about those that keep losing the same few pounds over and over even though they are eating the same things every single day?
My Friday rant is over. Have a nice weekend everyone and stay low carb!
By the way if anyone know the answer to my question, please let me know! Thanks.
