If dieting was easy no one would be fat and the diet industry would not introduce a new gimmick or product for quick, easy weight loss every five seconds. The secret to losing weight is perseverance. We all want to believe that we can have our carbs and eat them to, but the truth is if you want to achieve your weight loss goals you will have to give something up.

For many this invokes feelings of deprivation the minute you are told you can't eat pizza or pasta or cake or cookies. Instead of looking at what you can't have try and imagine what you will be gaining.

A feeling of accomplishment as you shed inches and pounds. Becoming more energetic and active. Shopping for cute clothes. Feeling in control of your eating.

Low carb has so many delicious food options and choices it seems strange to dwell on the foods that got you fat in the first place.

Make today the day you start to change your thinking.
