Today is Day 3 of the Summer Weight Loss Bootcamp Challenge. I hope things are going well for everyone. I am finally back in the groove again mentally! I did two vacations 5 weeks apart to visit family and this really took a toll on my sleeping, exercising and eating. Although I did stay pretty true to my low carb diet on both trips and did not gain weight nor lose any both times.
Now that the vacations are over I have the rest next 30 days to kick start my weight loss and the rest of the summer to keep up the intensity and motivation.
It was a good feeling though on our 10 and 11 hour car trips respectively that I was able to not have any leg or back pain from sitting in the car.
A hundred pounds ago I couldn't go more than 2 hours in a car without having horrible leg and back pain. I am guessing it was from all the extra weight.
I will never understand how people that are 100 or more pounds overweight could say they are happy and comfortable being that heavy.
Follow up:
What is it that they love about it? Their thighs rubbing together when they walk, the leg, foot and back pain, the eventual diabetes and maybe even kidney failure, the way the fat under their arms swings in the afternoon breeze, not being able to walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded, the disgusted looks from total strangers?
Sorry just my rant for the day. Everytime you want to eat something you know you should't think about what that piece of cake, cookies, etc did for you and where it got you. Don't romanticize food.
