So Kirstie Alley's weight gain is all over the media these days. She blames her weight gain on "Chinese food, fats and butter." Being a low carber I can tell her it wasn't the fat and butter that made her gain weight, rather it was the pasta she was loading the butter on.

You cannot eat high carb and high fat. This is a recipie for weight gain.

Perhaps Kirstie should ditch the low calorie, high carb, low fat diet mantra and get with Atkins or some other low carb plan. She would feel a lot fuller and satisfied!

Now about that Chinese food....

Hello. I just joined your twitter and want you to know I agree about cutting back the carbs. I have this crazy love for rice cakes and realize that it derails all of my hard work and dedication to healthy eating. I actually use my Count Me Healthy bracelet to track the servings of carbs I eat per day. It has really helped me realize that I need to reduce. Thanks for such great posts!
